MSI Wind Top series has been unveiled by Micro Star International (MSI). It is CULV-based X-Slim series notebooks and 12-inch Wind U series.
Unfortunately the MSI will ship all of the ultra-thin notebooks at July, according to company chairman Joseph Hsu.
In the second half of 2009, MSI will launch high-end multimedia entertainment and gaming notebooks, while ultra-thin notebooks will be the company’s major product line, Hsu noted.
The company expects its second quarter revenues to increase 10-20% sequentially as the company’s China plants have successfully reduced manufacturing costs by a similar percentage.
Since the company’s notebook and netbook shipments in the first quarter were only half of usual levels, MSI expects shipments in the second quarter to grow 30-50% on quarter. Motherboard shipments in the second quarter are expected to hold level sequentially at four million units.
China Mobile is planning to purchase several million netbooks from global vendors to bundle with its 3G services, and MSI expects to account for 10% of the purchases, noted Hsu.
Hsu commented on rumors that MSI plans to launch an Android-based netbook around Computex time saying the company currently does not plan to launch a new netbook model. Hsu said that work to implement Android on MSI’s Wind Notebook was done by Taiwan’s Institute for Information Industry (III) for testing. However, MSI might change its strategy if there is demand from clients in the future, Hsu said.
MSI has launched a 14-inch ultra-thin notebook, the X400 adopting either Celeron 723 or SU3500 CPUs priced at US$699-899, and a 15.6-inch model, the X600 featuring a discrete graphics card and priced at US$799-1,099.

Vaio P series has come. The evolution of notebook by Sony.
Its Small and thin notebook.
Sony has been making thin-and-light notebooks for more than a decade, since long before the parade of monikers landed on “netbook”. (Their original Vaio 505 in 1997 was a huge leap in design that brought the entire industry forward.)
Their latest ultraportable notebook/netbook is the 1.4 pound P-series. It offers two essential elements for portable productivity: a 1600 pixel-wide screen (view entire pages and documents and forget the notion of horizontal scrolling) and a respectably large keyboard (16.5mm pitch).
The 8″ LED-backlit 1600×768 display has extremely high pixel density and so is extremely crisp. The Sony P also features an Intel 1.86GHz (max) processor, 128GB solid-state HDD (max), and 2GB RAM (max). The integrated battery has an optimal 4-hour runtime (2.5 hours under normal use). An enhanced battery with double runtime is also available.
Thoughtful features like integrated webcam (great for Skype video), A2DP Stereo Bluetooth, and GPS add great finishing touches to the design, which comes in four gemstone-themed colors: Garnet Red, Emerald Green, Crystal White, and Onyx Black.

Sony is one of most popular manufacture notebook and famous with the design, which is reflected in this series FZ25G notebook.
